C280 Brakes
I am going to change the pads on my C280 Sport. The rotors still measure 23mm so I am not changing the rotors. I have changed out the pads in the past on my 190 E which has a floating caliper and the entire caliper does not have to be removed to change the pads making the job very simple.
Can anyone tell me if the C280 is similiar or does the entire caliper have to be removed to change out the pads. Thank-you for the help. Any r & r tips / suggestions to simplify the job would also be appreciated. Myron Becker |

You don't have to take off the caliper bracket on any mercedes to change the pads. On some, you do have to take out the two inner bolts and take off the caliper. I prefer these because I can use my piston compressor to push back the piston and it makes this job a breeze.

brakes complete
Thanks, but after looking it over, I quickly figured there was nothing to doing the job. Took 30 minutes to change pads on both sides.
