ME control unit for a mercedes C230
 

I need a rebuilt me control unit 028 545 80 32,
or need to send mine to someone to rebuild.

I am told that a used one will not work on another car after the initial programming.
Can anyone help me or tell me who to contact?
new one is too expensive!!

This is for a 2000 C230

You can't use a used one, have to come from Mercedes, You won't be able to DIY the installation either, it has to be programmed to the car.

The ME control unit may also be what's referred to as a Theft Relevant Part (TRP). Proof of ownership and payment in advance may be necessary.
