FYI: Fuel Pump Relay Pinout (Pre-MAS)

Thought someone might be able to benefit from this:

1) Green/Black - Speed Input - Pin ?
2) Green/Blue - Temperature Input - Pin TF
3) Blank
4) Violet/Green - Cold Start - 87V
5) Black/Red/Violet - Heated O2 Sensor - Pin 87H
6) Black/White - Kickdown - Pin 87K
7) Black/Red/White - Fuel Pumps - Pin 87
8) Red - Hot All Times +12 - Pin 30
9) Pink/Black - Ignition Switch - Pin 15
10) Green/Yellow - Tachometer Input - Pin TD
11) Brown - Ground - Pin 31
12) Violet/White - Starter Lockout Input - Pin ?

This pin out came from the w126 ETM for 1986+ Cars but should work on most cars with a fuel pump relay (not MAS).

If you are re-wiring one of these be sure to mind the 87 pin connectors as 87 and 87 do not carry the same current. I.E Pin 87H will not be able to engage something that should be connected to Pin 87

Hope this helps someone.

If you look at this diagram..the rev limiter appears to the one of the inputs to the coil side of the relay. The rpm input gets data from the EZL, which also feeds the tach, etc.

I believe the RPM signal voltage range is 6-12 volts. So in theory if you were to modify the signal so that it doesnt peak at 12...you could rev higher as the limiter wont cut the fuel pumps....
