Squinting through the glare
ceased to be fun (or safe). I looked into getting my 23 year old windshield replaced and was pleasantly surprised. The total bill was $216, a small price to pay. They replaced all the existing stickers inculding the original factory signature sticker. It was like getting cataract surgery for the car. I urge all of you who drive older cars of any make to look into it. It is surprisingly affordable and you will wonder why you didn't do it years ago.
Mine was 560SL. A gent with a Toyota SUV of some sort left at the same time. His bill was $240. Glass America the company. |

I was surprised in the same way when I had the glass on my SD replaced, for ~$150 at one of the local glass chains.
It was definitely an improvement over the old chipped and (my fault) cracked windshield.
