ignition wiring harness removal
 

can some one tell me how to remove the ignition wiring harness in a 1991 MB 300D w124 2.5 turbo diesel car??? please if you can!!! i have all of the dash opened from under the steering wheel all i need is the harness not the switch or the tumbler i need to get to and tap the wires for a remote start module if i can

Might want to post this over in The diesel Section too,

With the key turned to position 1 (radio) the electrical connector just slides off of the switch.

There is a three wire plug in the left of your engine room, just front of the brake fluid box. The middle wire is the control current for the starting motor.
