W220 air suspension-is there a retrofit?

W220, 2001 S430
rear driver side shock down after very cold waether. Pumped up after driving. no code shown.
Air susp can be expensive. Is there a good retro fit to change to normal shocks? Many Range Rovers have been changed?

There are all kinds of that type of aftermarket "stuff" available.

what is your advice?

Sir
What is your advice in this matter? Is OEM better? There is Arnott industries which claims their shocks have an upgraded design. Rover retrofits also has them.
I suppose there are shocks that bypass the air suspension altogether.
Please share your knowledge on value/ride quality.
Does the repair require dealer level skills or could a solid independant mechanic do it?
Thank you

with a specialized suspension, I'd have someone who knows what they are doing work on it, a nice independent Mbz shop or if your confident enough and have the tools, a DIY project

My advice is to keep the suspension original.

There are "good" quality REMAN air shocks available, or if you have unlimited $$ go with new ones.
