Low Voltage Fuel Pump Relay Turn on pin

560sel

For some reason, randomly, my buddy's 560SEL will only output 4v to turn on the fuel pump relay (which is fails to actually turn on). We cant figure out why this is happening.

Anyone have any ideas?

Which pin?? circuit 15 or 30?

9) Pink/Black - Ignition Switch - Pin 15

According to the FSM, that is powered direct from the ignition switch (which is connected direct to battery) and also provides power to the following
1) Ignition Coil
2) EZL
3) OVP
4) All Warning Indicators
5) Fuel Pump Relay
6) Fuse 7

Could something on Fuse 7 be causing a problem? Hmr Perhaps not, if something was grounding out it should certainly blow that fuse...

Just run a new wire directly from the back of the fuse box to the terminal of the fuel pump relay.

Or replacing fuse 7.

That is NOT a fused circuit, just a junction point for switched power.

yes, just a junction. its most likely a loose wire. We'll probably just end up running a nice fresh line to the fuse box.
