500sel
My tech got a call from a customer who wants to sell a '84 500sel.
It is navy with a light blue interior, 74000 miles all books and records, loaded to the gills, new michelins, new euro headlights, not a flaw inside or out. Price is $5,000. I've allways had diesel cars, but this one seems too good to let it get away. Anyone think this is a good price? Any tips on things to look for with this model? It is a U.S. model and it recently had $2,000 A/C repairs at the dealer along with a tranny reseal! Any comments are welcome. Thanks Steve |

If you have only had diesels you may be shocked by the poor fuel consumption. I generally get about 13mpg with the way I drive, I get the most enjoyment out of my euro 560 :-) $5k us sounds to me like a good price especially with the ac repair out of the way. Go for it.
