W220 air suspension-down when cold but ok in last week or two-repair needed?
2001 S430. In temps less than 25 F my L rear shock was down over night several times. no code came up and the shock rose on starting. It is fine now.
Will it fail soon/should I fix it now? Or did it get water near a valve and freeze open and perhaps if the water gets out it will never recur? thanks |

air spring leak
my range rover does the same thing, it's small leaks in the air bags (springs) that seal themselves as the weather warms up.

so does it mean I should change them or does this not mean failure will occur soon?

i've gone 3 yrs between problems, but the rover isn't used much, this winter i had a leak that w/ cold weather wouldn't inflate so i changed the air spring. hope this helps
