One critical tip for you...when you take the driveshaft off, be sure to mark it so you can put it back the same way.

The driveshaft is professionally balanced and i you do not put it back in the original position, you will have major vibrations.

is this true? I'm having vibrations on the freeway above 70mph...definitely coming from the driveshaft area.

As for removal, unbolt at the front flex disk and pull down. Remove the transmission crossmember that holds the mount or you'll struggle with space (obviously support tranny when you remove this)

That's how I replace the front flex disc on my '93 190E. I had to remove the rear one to get enough clearance to remove and install the front one.

Make sure you mark it so it goes back on the same way to keep it balanced.
