replacing fuel pump
im replacing my fuel pump,ive had issues in the past with the copper crush washers,does anyone know the recomended tighten on them,to loose and they leak under pressure,and to tight and they squirt gasoline,should i turn them just past hand tight and do like 1/4 turn? any ideas? thanks.marc:eek:

i think i just re-used mine the last time.. no problems

I tightened mine when I put on my new pumps until they stopped squirting...and I had to tighten them pretty good!

yeah they do like to squirt dont they,i will make sure its good and tight,plus these are a higher flow fuel pump so more pressure,i think there like at least 75 psi or maybe even 90.

Yeah...the ones they sent me were bigger than originals and noisier. I had to fit them into the bracket...what a pain. But, the pump great! Good luck and no face full of fuel wishes!!!
