E-Class Owner's Bible Giveaway (W124)
I had a neighbor drop this book off at my house after seeing me work on my w123, I don't need the book and I told him I'd pass it on to someone who does, so if you'd like it just reply with "I'm in" and your post number will be your entry. I'll pick a winner in a few days.

I have this book and I think it's great. It's not intended to be any kind of shop manual, though it does guide you through basic things like brakes, drive belts and a very good maintenance section too.
When I first got it, I was somewhat disappointed that it wasn't a "repair" manual as such also, but I find myself referring to it all the time to learn about and understand the design of the model/system before I start to work on it. It has tons of practical info on model/year changes and additions as well as explanations of options and systems, capacities, fluid recommendations, specifications, common problems, some torques and electrical diagrams. It gives a good run down of how the fuel system works, as well as transmissions, cooling, A/C, etc. It also has one of the best chapters on buying used E-class Benzes I've read. It's an excellent reference for any E-class, W124 owner. |
It is a useful book for much trivia, but be careful to not rely on its accuracy, it has many flaws in its information.
I have one also, find it more interesting than useful. |
Freebies are always welcome. " Einem geschenkten Gaul schaut man nicht ins Maul." :D
