Air Intake Hose / crack in accordion area
 

Hi,

I noticed my Air Intake Hose (plastic) has a crack in the accordion area, basically the crack is about half way around (top/bottom)- within the ridges

Would that affect idle per se and/or how can that affect car while it is running?

Nothing a roll of duct-tape wouldn't fix... :thumbsup:

Basically, if SHOULDN'T have too much effect on the performance...the hose is directing COOLER air to the airbox...and not sucking from the heated air, under the hood, that's been heated up coming through the radiator and into the area under the hood.

Cooler is better...your car's set up to work in a particular way...otherwise, you're allowing some variables to become part of the driving experience...
