Mechanic needs technical manual that discusses removal of distributor and resetting of timing for 1987 420sel.....I bought the reprinted service manual and it says nothing...

Ignition distributor does NOT affect the timing of the engine.
To set distributor correctly, Set engine to TDC Cylinder #1 compression stroke And make sure that ignition rotor points to punch mark on outer housing of distributor. |
