Something that forum members may or may not know
This is just an FYI, I posted that my w201 had idle problems after changing my transmission fluid and it turns out that it was a spark plug wire. Well, it did it again and I took the wire off the plug and realized that the rubber part inside the boot was torn off. Anyways, I did not know Bosch wires had a LIFETIME WARRANTY :). I called autozone and they gave me a brand new set and took the old ones back after I had them for 2 years and said that I can do this forever as long as I had Bosch wires. I did not know this at first, I just saved myself $100+ tax for every 15,000 miles! :) I need to see what else I have that has a lifetime warranty, this is great!

It's a LIMITED lifetime warranty.

Where does it say its limited? This is what I got from the site under the spark plug wire set section: "Bosch provides premium quality, pre-assembled spark plug wire sets for virtually all American, Asian, and European cars, vans, and light truck applications. And all Bosch Premium Wire Sets are backed by a "no hassle" lifetime guarantee."

AutoZone is very good about Lifetime Warranty products. I get them from there whenever I can...especially brakes and rotors. They'll replace them with just a little wear with no questions asked. No need to turn rotors with that deal! Batteries are the only thing they prorated on me but I was OK with that from all the money I have saved there.

Because we use only premium components, all Bosch Spark Plug Wire Sets are covered by a limited lifetime warranty. A detailed copy of this warranty is included inside every wire set box. |
Ah yes! I see it now.....but what does a limited lifetime warranty mean?
|
i think it means that if you dont stop your every-15k-mile-claims, your lifetime is limited :)

I assume you bought these at AutoZone? Otherwise whoever you dealt with was REAL dumb. YMMV on this one. :D

I just replaced the OEM wires on my 190E. They were barely connected to the plug itself. The new ones are tight, and the engine no longer sputters.
The OEM wires? Lasted 200K. |
