Look, I did have an original post. And like many things, I asked some follow up questions as well. The last question I asked was about getting a wiring harness. I even put some humor with the question regarding the sanity of doing it so that maybe we could skip all the comments on cost.

I was hoping for some advice on the most recent question and that is what I have responded to. I know it may be hard to follow, but this is a dynamic conversation with follow up questions from me. Sorry for the confusion.

The Mercedes Classic Car Center might have your harness. As far as I know, no aftermarket harness assemblies exists.

I would heed the advice of an earlier poster, and do a compression check on the engine before sinking money into the wiring. That's a good starting point. If the engine was damaged internally, you may want to swap in an entirely new engine with matching wiring harness from donor car.
