Removing aux fans and shroud (m103)

How difficult is it to remove the aux fans/shroud after removing radiator? Did a search found nothing and the CD mentions nothing about it.

I need to take them off to "easy-out" a stripped hex bolt holding my fan clutch on.

If someone's done this without removing the clutter, please share your secret with me!

Snap-on makes a great tool and you don't even have to take out the radiator. The extractors come in a set, and I think there are about 8 different sizes in the set. They are about 30mm or so long and have a left hand scribe on the top. You just get the right one, clean the head of the bolt and use a long box wrench with a pipe to crack it loose.

If you take out the radiator, you will also have to take out the A.C condensor. You don't want to do that!!!

Thanks for the tip! Is this the set you speak of?

I sure as hell don't want to remove the AC condensor

I found this extractor set on their online catalog, here: ORMNAME=2&Desc=Extractor+Set%2C+4+pcs.&SUB_Cat_ID=866364&SUB_Cat_NAME=Extractor+Sets&Cat_ID=866227&C at_NAME=Extractors&group_id=1255&group_NAME=All-In-One+Extractor+Sets&store=snapon-store&dir=catalog

Thanks again!
