2001 e 320 wagon hydraulic suspension question

Hi guys
I usually live over on the sl forum but am a new e320 wagon owner. I have read about the wagon hydraulic suspension and have a couple of quick questions. The hydraulic reservoir is full (power steering seems to work fine). the rear suspension is rock hard and the car bounces like a lowered honda. I cannot see any leaks on the struts themselves so assume the problem is the accumulators.
Problem is that the rear seems to sit very low - lower than I would assume so I wanted to check if it may be anything else before i order the accumulators. The rear end does not seem to move at all although there has only been me in the vehicle
also which one of the many cd's on ebay would be considered a good one (anyone bought one lately?) I have the roadside technician folder for the R107 and C107 the W114, 115, 116126, 124 123 and 201 but of course no 210 disk
any thoughts appreciated
cheers
Barri

Hard Ride

Hard ride means the sphere diaphragms have become porus and the nitrogen has leaked out. New spheres needed...fairly easy job on a sedan...not sure on a wagon.

Takes about 2.5-3 hrs on a W124 wagon.

Also sounds like the leveling valve is NOT working.
Withe the engine running & the trans in park.

Try opening the tailgate & sit on the floor of the rear compartment.
The car should go down with your weight & then rise back up with the hydraulic pressure
that comes thru the leveling valve.

tried that and nothing happens and I'm a big guy around 270 so it should do something? I was bouncing about in there like a sex starved teenager.
The overall ride height looks good but certainly I couldnt feel anything move. Although its so hard in the back its difficult to tell anything. For now I have ordered a pair of genuine accumulators for the system and anything else I need I will grab from our host (fastlane) once I have softened up the ride a little. The shocks look pretty new I put it up on jackstands and took some pictures. Cant see any leaks etc

looks fairly nice to me but then I'm used to 30 year old cars
cheers
