300TE won't start
The trusty 91 300TE suddenly would not start while I had A/C gauges hooked up to measure high and low pressures, and I had bridged the low pressure switch on the receiver/dryer. The car had no symptoms of any problems before, and has never failed to start ever.
Engine turns over strong, the 2 fuel pumps buzz/rattle, smell gas at the tailpipe. I’ve tried cranking for 30 seconds a go, with or without the pedal to the floor. Plugs recent, ignition wires 3 years old, new cap 3 months ago & rotor 1 year ago, coil 5 years old, 2 fuses on OVP relay good by ohmmeter, OVP relay 5 years old. I do not have a spare OVP relay or coil to swap in. But gas in tank! No one around to crank the engine while I hold plug to block, or coil wire to block, so I can’t check that yet. Other ideas? Thanks, Dave |

Of course start with basics,
SPARK (ignition) is the most common problems, have you removed the cap & inspected the rotor as well?
