5.6L M117 air intake vacuum connections missing

Hey guys,

Still in the appraisal period of what rubber needs to be acquired and replaced, and I figure I'm going to replace every little piece, including the air intake gaskets. Of course, I will take photographs every step of the way.

This is no exception. I found a few things while tracing lines that caught my eye, as to wondering what they may be, and also found one connection outright not connected. Attached are pics of my findings.

This sucker (literally) is unattached near the distributor cap. Any clue where it goes to? Following it back, it comes from here (driver's side valve cover):

Also, what are these?

This one has 3 connections, with one going into the fender.

And this one:

Sorry for asking so many questions; I just wanna know what these are and make sure I do it right the first time!

Thanks,

Carlen

(Also, how many rubber elbows and connectors should I get?? it looks like there are 10-20 of them!)

I didn't get the pictures. Do I have a problem? Did anyone else have this problem.

Sorry about both posts before. Dunno why they don't work for you, Paul...

Pics are in the same order I posted before, but I'll put the descriptions down again

Pic 1:

Pic 2:
Following it back, it comes from here (driver's side valve cover)

Pic 3:

Pic 4:
This one is right by the coolant expansion tank in the passenger side fender.

Thanks loads,

Carlen

Looks like the EGR vacuum line.
Check the two termovalves in the intake manifold (on the left of the Idle valve) for missed lines. I think that must be attached there.

Thats what I was thinking, but they're all there... I traced it all the way back (feel dumb for not doing that in the first place :o ) and it leads to the EGR too...

Any other ideas?

Thanks,

Carlen
