2.3-16V cladding clips....
 

Is there a breakdown of the parts which includes the part numbers and descriptions of where they go? I ordered what I thought were all the clips to re-install the cladding kit on my 16V (took an hour with the parts guy and me both scratching our heads over the exploded diagram), and ended up with a handful of clips that I can't find a home for and missing a handful of the lower "plug" clips that I need. Trying to decide if the dealership mis-packaged them or not....

The spares are P/N 001 988 49 81 which I can't find on my invoice or online... wondering if there's a cross reference or if they're an updated clip... or just a mistake and don't fit my car.

If its anything like the 124 lower cladding, yeh its a horrible diagram I always have issues with it, but eventually after showing up at the parts department and having them bring each clip out one by one, I can figure out which ones I need....

hal9000, a very experienced Parts Department tech will be able to determine exactly which clips you need. Taking the old clips and the cladding with you will simplify your dilemma.
