K Jet mixture screw base setting ?
 

How do you determine the base setting for the mixture adjustment screw on a K-Jet ? I've got a '79 450SL that has been messed with and I want to "zero out" the mixture screw enough to get it started. Can I back it out all the way and then turn it in a certain number of turns ?

pull 1 injector line out of the fuel dist. you need to see into the hole. pull the fuel pump relay and jump pins 7 and 8. with the pump running, adjust the 3mm so the fuel flows to the top of the threads in the 1 hole w/no line. this should start the car. let it warm and then adjust it. good luck, chuck.
