300 TD 3rd row seat won't fold down
 

Hello all. I am new to the forums, and new to MB. I just bought a 1987 300TD wagon with the 3rd row seating. I cannot get the seat back to fold down. Yes, I have removed the bottom cushion. I don't see any type of release lever, other than a black "button" at the center top of the seat back. It seems locked up on the left side. Any suggestions? The owners maual is useless.

The seat bottom cushion doesn't need to be removed, just hinges toward the rear of the car. After that, the seatback will lay down. You are talking about the 3rd seat seatback?
