Procarparts - clear corners - any good?

Searched the forum and couldn't find this brand mentioned.
They're available on Ebay. Quite cheap, so probably cheap in quality as well. Just wanted to know if any of you have used them before and/or have any caveats or recommendations before I go and buy some $$$ Bosch lights.

Ebay - procarparts clear corner lights - W124

I bought a set directly from their website at www.procarparts.com . They fit fine and I'm satisfied with the quality. No one will ever know they aren't Bosch unless you tell them. I figure at $29.95 plus shipping I couldn't go wrong. Only problem was they sent the wrong bulbs but that was no problem. By the way, I faxed my order in to keep from putting my credit card on the net.

clear corners

hi zeus
have you done a "search" on clear corners?

there's tons of info and debate.

been there,done that.

imo [ i have had both] there is a HUGE DIFFERENCE in bosch or hella OEM ones.

the FIT, the FINISH, the LONGEVITY, FAR OUT WEIGHS the satisfaction of a lower price.
you DO get what you pay for.
the cheap ones i had, didn't fit, wouldn't stay snapped in place, the rubber on edges was "CRACKING" within 3 months.

get OEM! you won't regret it. i think parts shop has clear bosch.

i'm not trying to be fanatical, i always TRY to get the most value out of my money. ask yourself, would you buy euro lights made by procar parts?

bottom line, it's your car get what you want. there is a difference.

peter

If they were going on a newer car I'd say go OEM too. But you've entered the "land of diminishing returns" when spending unecessary money on a 13 year car with that many miles. Save your $75 bucks for some of the other parts you'll need soon. If Mercedes made gasoline, some people would swear that was all you burn in these things.:p

lol...too true. The car's tip-top though, hence the desire to upgrade somewhat. My current driver's side front corner has a crack and small hole in the plastic casing from some random road projectile. I need to replace them anyway, so I figured I'd get the clears. Now I just have to decide which brand to get...thanks for the info/opinions.

You may be happier with the OEM. My 89 300e had one original amber marker and one brand new one when I bought it. The original one had faded badly and the new one (both Bosch) was dark so the front of the car looked funny. I liked the clear and decided I could buy two sets of the procarparts clear ones for less than one amber OEM, just to make them match. Pure econmics. I realize they won't last forever but neither do the OEM. Chances are they'll get broken or get road rash and have to be replaced every so often anyway.
