98 e320 Blower Speed on slow only

The blower speed on the AC or heat, in auto or manual position never gets past slow. I've checked some threads for this ailment and understand that the blower motor relay may be the problem. Does anybody know where this relay is located on the 98 E320? Is it hard to get to and check/replace? With winter coming on, I'm going to need some heat/defrost. Thanks for any help.

Dave

it isn't the blower motor relay, but rather the blower motor regulator, the regulator is mounted directly on the blower motor, under the pass side dash

1998 Blower motor regulator repair

I have a 1998 e320 chasis 210.

I have bought a regulator for this car from a junk yard. I don't have the part yet. Does someone have a pic of what the regulator looks like? I have seen some other pics around and it looks nothing like what I have on my car. Only thing I can see is a wire that has little black box that is attached to the blower motor with two screws. Is this the regulator? Doesn't look like it is replaceable? Can anyone explain in good detail about this.

Regulator

There are 2 regulators that could have been used on your car. I you want to see a picture type you year and model in google and see what's comes up. If you want to sell the one you have let me know. I think you have the one I'm looking for.
