Does the AFM need lubricating?

I was just lubricating my engine's throttle mechanism on my 190e and wondered if the Air flow meter (the barn door toilet lid thing) ever needed lubricating and if it is possible to lubricate it anywhere?

Surely with all that fuel flying around in there it would wash away any lubricant? And that would affect how quickly the system can respond to a change in throttle opening?

Just a thought..

Um, no, there is no fuel anywhere near the pivot for the mechanism. Oil vapors from the engine's crankcase vent will more than keep it lubed.
