Have you tried either of the memory settings to see if that makes it move?

be sure to check fuses carefully. once i stopped for a nap while on a long drive. reclined my seat back for a nap.. when i woke up it wouldn't come back up!! i took the switch apart and everything until i finally looked at the fuses again carefully and discovered a fuse was blown. it was a very long 4 hour drive home the rest of the way without being able to sit back in my seat!

Sometimes they have a bit of corrosion and stop working. Just try working the switch back and forth a lot of times; it might come back to life.

Do you think the door could have pinched some wires?

The headlight wiper/washers will only work with the headlights on, this is normal or "correct", however you want to state it.

I'm sorry I mean... the windshield wiper washer only works when I have the headlights on...
So no cleaning the window if its daytime...

What would cause that?

Some German engineers in the early 80's caused that. If you don't have the lights, why do they need to be clean?

If you have an owner's manual, take a look inside. On my Land Rovers the wipers on the lights only come (as I remember) every third time you turn on the windshield wipers. There is no way to turn then on or off yourself.

Check relays. All of my windows stopped working suddenly - it was a relay. They go bad, and aren't that expensive. Located in the fuse box.

Don't be so happy yet. Its probably not the switch, they rarely go bad. Its probably a broken wire in the run between the door and the door jamb. Its ommon that either the seat control or the window control goes south when this happens. Also, you may notice the light at the very base of the door flicking on or off as the door is moved through its full range of motion. Get the soldering iron ready...
