W220 passenger mirror blinker error
 
2001 S 430
when it is hot 100F I often get and error message and a rapid flash.
Do I need to buy a whole assembly or is it just dirty contacts?

Most likely the lamp assembly in the mirror, common issue on the early W220 chassis

Double that - mirror LED assembly. Which side is your car doing L or R?

Do I buy a new light assembly-or just a cleaning? This AM it did not happen but it may after sitting under cover in the sun later. Is the new one better? Is it easy to DIY?
