84-2.3 issues
I've been through most of the posts on similar threads & can't yet get a handle on my problem. This euro 84 230CE has the 2.3 injected motor used in the 190s It is not electronically controlled. I have over 100 lbs of fuel pressure coming to the distributer but nothing to the injectors. It drops to 40PSI when the key is turned off and the pressure released . It will kick and start when I depress the air meter flap --but only for a few seconds so I know it would go if the injectors got fuel. I have a proper pressure gauge to work with. PO put in a new fuel pump. Could the accumulator or regulator be messed? Should be a logical, straight-line process of getting to the bottom of this. Anyone?

Fuel pressure should be about 85psi & pressure measured at warm-up regulator should be about 35psi with cold motor & starter operating.

Thanks, that will help. I'll post a result. The injctors do need min. pressure to pop. I do appreciate the people that are willing to share. BTW---what is the fix if I don't get pressure to the WUR?
