Interior controls not working on my 2006 SL500
 

This past weekend, I was driving my 2006 Mercedes SL500 when I starting getting all types of errors on the interior dashboard along with the wipers just coming on by themsleves. After cutting off the vehicle and back on, now no interior controls work.

Meaning nothing in the dashboard works, no speedometer nor gas control and the controls on the steering wheel don't work. My mechanic told me it is probably the modular under the dashboard has gone bad but there may be a recall on that.

Has anyone heard or seen this happen before? Any help is appreciated.

Sounds like a possible instrument cluster issue. The logical first step would be best to have the entire system scanned for fault codes.
