Question 260e and 190e transmission automatic differences??

hi I recieved a used transmission today from a salvage yard online. its out of a 1990 190e and my car is a 1989 mercedes 260e. anyways the transmissions do not match up my mechanic said it has electronics to it were mine does not. could the one they sent me be a 4 matic one?any help would be apreciated because the salvage yard is trying to say that its nit the wrong one and will not give me my money back.

Should be the same. Both 722.4's. There may be a few minute differences though. Not sure on what electronic components could be different? They did not make a 4matic 190e or 260e to my knowledge.

I have a 1989 260e with a transmission from a 190e 2.6 - it went straight in.

Reverse clutch went on the original tranny. Tranny rebuild in Australia is around $ 3000.00.
Low K tranny out of the 190e was $500.00 installed.

The electronic difference is potentially the E/S switch. This can be transferred if you have the old 190e gear change

there's a metal tag on both, should start with 722.4xx. there's no electronics on a 722.4, so the i.d. plate info would be useful if you post it. good luck, chuck.

There is one more electronic control I forgot about.

You need to put your foot on the brake to enable the transmission to be moved out of Park.

got it all sorted out apparently
the transmission they sent was to a 2009 charger that was right by the transmission they messed up because the charger transmission is made by mercedes therefore had all the mercedes markings on it weird never would have expected a dodge to have a mercedes transmission in it lol
