'77 280SE Vacuum Lines

Hello all, new to the forum. I have a 1977 (US) 280SE, I am trying to find out where the vac lines that come from the WUR connect to? Also, the air breather hose that connects to the top of the air cleaner housing, that hose has a small opening as if a vacuum line goes there, does a vac line goes there, and if so, where does it connect to? I have a W116, M110 inline 6.

Thanks

Luke

Welcome Luke. Not familiar with your motor, but until someone knowledgeable chimes in, the shaped air breather hose from the valve cover to air cleaner has a small tube that attaches on the other end to the fuel pressure regulator. That's not a vac line, but merely a return line in case the fuel pressure regulator diaphragm ruptures, it'll keep raw fuel from dumping onto hot engine surfaces. At least that's how the M103 works.

Where can obtain that fuel line, I think mine has a vacuum line on it. Also, where would the Fuel Pressure Regulator be located? I have another question posted about the WUR, where do the vac lines coming from the WUR connect to? I think I have this question in the vintage section as well. I really appreciate you responding to my question, I have been trying to get help on these issues for sometime now, thanks again! It's difficult trying to fine people who understand these older Mercedes.

Sorry I can't help with the WUR question. As far as a source for parts, you can try Fastlane Phil, but I suspect that your best bet would be the MBUSA Classic Center in Irvine, CA. They are responsible for parts on the older MB models that dealers no longer carry. And with your MBCA membership, you get a 15% discount on all parts. Tom Hanson is the parts supervisor there. A fine gentleman and knowledgeable parts guy (949 598-4842).

Thanks, I am familiar with tom and the classic center.
