2000 SLK 230 Kompressor...Lights on one side stay on all the time

Looking for any ideas into my recent problem on my SLK 230. The running lights stay on the right side of the car at all times (right rear running light, right front running light and the right sidemarker light in the bumper). I replaced the headlight switch thinking that could be the problem, no luck. I also have made certain that the headlight switch is in the off position. Any ideas on this problem?

Possibly you have a problem with the locking pump that also controls the alarm system.

In the trunk you will find the locking pump in a foam box, try unplugging that pump.

Don't be surprised if you find the locking pump underwater. The early SLK's are known for clogged drains which allow the trunk to get wet.
