Fuel cap seal
 

On my 79 SEL, the fuel seal on the cap had cracked, and was leaking a little bit of gas, when full around corners, I could smell it ever so slightly. OK.

I don't know if the fuel tank is supposed to have nominal pressure or vacuum, but I replaced that seal, and suddenly the car has LOADS of power!?
What's going on? I mean this is more power than I've gotten yet out of her.
I'm worried that it's a death throw...:eek:..it's that much more powerful..
