Found this part in 722.3 transm filter -- anyone recognize it?
1 Attachment(s)
Working on replacing B3 discs etc to get the reverse back. Found this broken blue part in the transm filter. Does anyone know what it is?
Also, some of the K1 steel discs in the front of the pack were somewhat burnt. Could that be related to the reverse issue or is it typically something else (like K1 seals or piston problem)? The trans is a 722.323 with 111k Nick |
i know we are in a recession, but i think that is what they call a quarter!
Sorry i cant help... |
If it were a 722.1 I'd say that it might be the plastic clips that connect the oil feeds between the valve body and the main gear set...
...but I don't see something similar in this PDF http://www.ganzeboom.net/images1/ganzeboom/parts/Mercedes/722.3,%20722.4.pdf I can't see from this PDF how the 3 clutch packs on the 722.3 gear set are connected to the valve body. I'll know more when I take my .3 transmission to bits. But that doesn't help now. Looking at that PDF I'd guess some of those plastic inserts on the band actuators are more likely to be broken. |
Looks like a dime to me!!
