w 140 bouncy rear
hi. i have a 1993 mercedes 300se thats has a bouncy rear end a little, my wife took the car out of town with a lot of people (heavy load) now it has that bounce a little what do i check for first thanks for the help guys.

Does your W140 have the automatic leveling rear suspension? There would be a fluid reservoir under the hood for the green mineral oil the system uses.

no sir it dont have a fluid reservoir under the hood a least i didnt see one, also though i can hear a pump in the trunk when i turn the key.

So it sounds like your shocks are just worn out then. I'd think any reasonable independent mechanic could replace them for you, I'd expect the job to be ~$400 including replacement of other worn parts back there.
