Paint or powder coat?
What is the best way to permenantly take of my 300CE valve cover?
Is it made of aluminum or mag and could I powdercoat it? I have done a search but there is no real solutions that I have found.

The valve cover is cast and can be either painted or powder. I would suggest powder since it covers a lot of the pitting and imperfections in the casting.

Powdercoating is a lot less labor and will give excellent results for less money. But make sure that the company that does it knows how to do automotive stuff (that is, proper cleaning, and masking of areas that you do NOT want powdercoated, like, for example, inside!
