Rearview mirror
Can someone verify this I need to replace my rearview mirror, I have the part already. My question is this do you heat the mirror in hot water to get the ball joint back in it's socket? Or is there a better method?

I just forced mine, but some hot water or a heat gun might be better. When you pull it off the plastic bolts will pull out of the motors, you can then pop them into the sockets in the new mirror.
When I put the mirror back into the housing I just pushed the plastic bolts back into the motor a little and then used the switch to activate the motor and pull it in the rest of the way. Jerryb |
Thanks for verifying that for me Jerryb we both are thinking on the right lines.I was talking about the mirror inside on the front windscreen, on this side of the pond that's the rearview mirror.Sorry if my trans-atlantic interpretation confuses you chaps sometimes-Bear
