Subframe Mounts R&R info help
http://www.w124-zone.com/downloads/p...frameparts.jpg
Got my subframe mounts in tonight and the associated updated kits. Without using the "specific" puller tool, any tips or tricks for replacement? I got the W201 PDF someone made for the subframe mounts and some info from JohnM, just want to get some expanded advice if anybody else has any here? I think the main deal seems to be getting them to be pushed back in? Thanks guys. |
Lube it up with some KY Jelly and if you can't fabricate a tool, rent it.

Didn't bodhi have a long thread about her 124 suspension repair? Search for threads by her and maybe there'll be something specific there.
Otherwise: before you insert them, freeze them overnight to get them to contract a bit and make the rubber harder so it compresses less during insertion, then KY or sylglide seem to be the recommended lubes. |
