W124 replacement speedo cable
My speedo needle bounces quite a bit until I reach 60 km/h or so. I found a replacement made by a company called Gemo. Does anyone have any experience with these and if they are a good quality replacement?

Just to relay my experience -- I am on my 3rd Gemo replacement and I am still wobbling/bouncing/vibrating in varying degrees on my 300TE.
I'm beginning to believe it could be the speedohead itself now. Just keep this in mind. I cannot believe 3 different cables were of equally bad quality. I replaced 3 times due to thinking I kinked the cable during install, but now I doubt it. |

Gemo is the OEM supplier.

A dry bushing in the speedometer can cause bouncing if a new cable does not correct the problem.
I purchased a set of Gemo parking brake cables and they appear to be well made. Never tried their speedo cables. |
