STRANDED Thermostat cover broken. HELP!

Nobody has this in stock and I'm stuck... Is there another vehical that has the same pattern I can use until I can order the correct part?


HELP PLEASE.

Was yours black plastic by any chance? Best bet is a JY (get an aluminum one!) but most aren't open by now.

local junk yard does not have it...



Anyone know if I can use a cover from another rig they might have in stock.

Where did it break? Any chance you can get the quick-setting JB weld and patch it enough to get home? From what I know, it is only shared by the M104 (so the 320 engines)

Bad luck - I would think you're out of options. If you're on the side of the road I'd either AAA it or fill it with water, drive to the nearest parking lot (not more than a couple miles...watch the temp gauge) to let it sit until you get the part. Maybe someone in your area will see this

Order one online Monday and get it overnight. Or try your local suppliers on Monday. They might have it.

Car Pulled home.
Parts Ordered

Couldnt see paying 40 bucks for shipping... I'm 3 days out

86 300E, be sure to install an aluminum thermostat housing rather than another plastic housing. Your local MB dealer is a good source if you can't fine one online.

Installed an aluminum hougine new hose and clamps.. all good just hitched a ride to work and **** for a day for the part to show up
