Yet another car! 1991 300E 4MATIC for a whopping $150.00
Okay, so its pretty much a parts car. But still the price is quite a deal.
So what if it is missing the driver's door and seat, hood, grill, fenders, lights, AMS module, radiator and cooling fans, and climate control module, vacuum pump, relays, and almost all of the switches. It still has oodles of what I can use for 4Matic specific spares for my 300TE 4Matic. Body parts remainng have ZERO rust! I intend to pull the following 4Matic parts for spares: front suspension, axles, and brakes, transmission, transfer case (so now I will have 5 spares), engine with front differential, rear differential, ECU & ABS control module, hydraulic control, steering angel sensor brake light switch, system test switch instrument cluster, Other regular items not 4Matic specific worth harvesting include: Airbag, tires & wheels, blower motor and resistor, radio and power amp., shifter A/C condenser, evaporator, compressor glass, left rear quarter panel (for use on the 300D rust repair), sunroof mechanism (to repair the 300TE slides, riser, etc), cruse control amplifier, antenna, Items pretty much trashed include: carpet steering wheel (moldy) two of four door panels, Here are a few pic's: http://i284.photobucket.com/albums/l...C/DSC00630.jpg http://i284.photobucket.com/albums/l...C/DSC00622.jpg http://i284.photobucket.com/albums/l...C/DSC00619.jpg http://i284.photobucket.com/albums/l...C/DSC00618.jpg http://i284.photobucket.com/albums/l...C/DSC00615.jpg http://i284.photobucket.com/albums/l...C/DSC00621.jpg http://i284.photobucket.com/albums/l...C/DSC00635.jpg http://i284.photobucket.com/albums/l...C/DSC00637.jpg |
WTF on the rear spring! How can you bend a spring like that? Don't tell me that 4matics are like that originally...?

I want a 4 matic for my wife in the winter so she will leave my truck alone.

Can you please resize those pics.

How do you get any car for $150 when a scrap yard will pay $400-$500?

Well I finished picking off all the good parts. The rest I cut up and tomorrow gets sold for scrap. The neighbors are please, but worried I'm only making room for something else. Their fears are not without some foundation. Enjoy the picks!

nice, i wish my wife would let me cut up cars in the backyard; trying to convince her that we ("I") needed a 3rd shed to keep MB parts in...
|
The problem with a third shed is you then need a fourth.
