Water Temp Sensor W124/M104 1991 300CE
 

Hi!

I've searched and searched.......I'm looking for the coolant temperature sensor on my vehicle. All of the threads and the crummy repair manual I have state that the device is located on the left hand side at the rear of the cylinder head.

Yet, to quote FastLane:

Water Temp. Sensor
CIS Injection
4 pin teminals : color code black : located in intake manifold

Yes, I've found the two at the thermostat. (Single connector and double connector)

Please help!

Location of Coolant Temperture Sensor(s) on "97 E320/M104
 

Can anybody tell me where this sensor is? I've looked on what I believe to be the thermostat housing but only see a single-wire sensor. I assume that one is for the temp guage. Thanks.

NOT there, but at the rear of the cylinder head on the drivers side!
