depo headlights
 

im about to install a set of depos on my 89 300ce,does anyone know the name of the black plastic plunger with the large round head and threaded cylinder that goes thru the top of the radiator support and into the top of the headlight, mine are both broken. if anyone has installed these how did u remove the metal panel behind the headlight wiper? i removed the obvious small bolt and the side was hung up.thanks guys.

the parts book calls it an "insert". should be part number 124 821 05 20. you can also order 124 826 01 00 which is called a repair kit, it has all the hardware to attach the lights to the car, including the insert piece.

IIRC there is another screw close to the radiator grill? As I remember it was easy to remove but a real pain to reinstall.

thanks guys,i installed the new units,they look great. also installed the clear lense directionals,i ordered the mounting kits thanks for the part numbers, will install new parts when arrives.my depos came with daytime running lights,was different trying to figure out the unlabled wiring harness they converted the 4 pin factory harness to a 5 pin connector.
