Reflash versus reset ECU

Is reseting the ECU by grounding the unit going to produce the same result as reflashing the ECU. I have a feeling not. Reflash would probably reload the information versus resetting the ECU to baseline with the grounding? Is reflashing something the dealers do?

Thanks.

not sure if this applies to ur model, but if my memory serves me. a reflash is the most accurate way to reprogram computer info, resetting would be like clearing a code.go with the reflash updates.
