Brand New 1971 220 115 Chassis owner needs help with fuel issue!
Hi All, I'm a new MB owner, and having issues with my car. I've had my car for a few months, and it worked just fine until recently when my car stops without warning. Here's the deal: the car starts fine, I've had to pop start it several times, but once it starts, it will move. then after going a block or two, gas seems to cut out, and the car stops. I have a feeling that the gas tank is clogged with rust, and I've replaced the fuel filter but not the pump. The new fuel filter seemed to collect everything and was giving me issues, so placed the old fuel filter onto it again. HELP??

Hi
Welcome to the forum . If you feel its a fuel starvation problem then most likely its a clogged filter in the tank , partially blocked by rust particles and sediment. Cleaning or replacing the filter should rectify the probem. Ad |

Sounds like the fuel tank needs to be cleaned.
