I will take some pics of mine over the weekend and post them so you can see. They are high quality stainless steel with a glass section that is engraved. The lights are actually ac powered strips that are very thin and sit underneath the glass section. The pics will make sense.

Very sharp - thanks for posting the pic.

Do you think it is possible to have a custom made insert to replace the "Mercedes-Benz" transpearent piece? It looks like some type of Lucite.

Before you wondor what's up, I was thinking of customizing the insert to say E500 as well as MB. What do you think?

I got mine off E-bay for $220 or so I believe. I then couldn't (for the life of me!) figure out how to properly install them... so I took them over to CIRCUIT CITY "RoadShop" and they did it with no problem for $60. Pretty good deal, IMO, for taking the load off my back (attempting to put them in myself... ATTEMPTING TO!!)
