W202 instrument cluster

Hi Guys,
I want to change the instrument cluster on my w202 to a sports type. I have the cluster, my question is will the mileage change to the new clusters mileage and if so how would I make the original car mileage appear. Has anyone had any experiance with this. I think the new cluster has low mileage, however it is against the law where I live to change it. And I want the original low mileage in any case. Thanks
It's a 1998 model.

You might want to look in to just getting the sports-type appliques for the original speedo, there are people who market these. To order the whole cluster, at least here in the states, you have to order it from the dealer and the mileage is coded in by the factory, then sent to the dealer. Big bucks. I don't think you can just obtain a sports cluster and put it in the car and have it work.

I looked around and so far have come up with white gauge faces, not sure what a "sports" cluster looks like.

Thanks Gilly.
The sports cluster is the one with the white faces. I am wondering if the chipped part of the cluster can be swapped over to show the original mileage. I didn't pay very much for the sports cluster and I will pick it up on Saturday. I will know more once I get it. I thought there may be others who had tried this. I will let you all know the outcome.
Cheers Mark

Okay, the instrument cluster model number 202 540 16 48 is the original. I swapped it with the white faced sports type numbers 202 540 60 48. Everything workes great. Only problem, it shows the wrong KM's the new one has very low KM's at 30 000 where as mine 160 000. I don't know how to code in the correct KM's. Any ideas anyone.
