1989 420SEL won't crank

Brand new battery
Tested connections
Checked overload relay
Only one of the fuel pumps is getting 12v
Checked park/neutral switch everything fine!

Scratching my head on this one! What does the start position wire go through in order to put current to starter solenoid?

Under the good I see a little purple wire and a big purple wire going into one big wire by the fuse box. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

From ignition switch to park/neutral switch to connector underhood & then to starter.

Thank you kindly! do you possibly know the color of the wire i am looking for running to the park/neutral switch? I am wanting to bypass and test the switch. I believe the purple wires going across from fuse box to the passenger side have something to do with it. also i notice two aftermarket wires running into the fuse box. could this disable the starter? and if so how can i bypass.

Put your foot on the brake and turn the key whilst running the gearshift around a bit, especially close to the neutral position. A bad neutral safety switch is the culprit if it tries to crank.

It could also have a starter kill wired into an aftermarket alarm system.

YES,
Circuit 50 (start) is always purple or purple with white stripe.
