M103 Fuel injector disassembly

Just received my new injectors and I can't quite figure out how to change the black insulator over onto the new injector. It rotates freely but doesn't seem to want to pull off.

Found the info.

If anyone else is interested. Seems they just pull apart.

Just curious, what problems are you having to warrant changing injectors?

One or more of the injectors is leaking making for a hard start to no start condition due to flooding at about 15 minutes after shut down. Up to about 10 min. after shut down is fine and after about 1/2hr or more is also good.

Those insulators are called seals.

If you're going to the trouble of changing the injectors themselves, why are you not also changing the holders and seals as well? To not change these along with the injectors is false economy. Those old seals will leak you know, especially when disturbed after being in the car for however many years. Get ready to smell gas and have performance issues.
